 BirdXPeller
is a new sonic repeller from BIRD-X that uses birds' own distress
calls to create a "danger zone"...which effectively
frightens the infesting flock away!
Proven and tested. In extensive field
tests, BirdXPeller has significantly reduced, or entirely eliminated
infestations of sparrows, pigeons, robins, finches, starlings,
blackbirds, gulls and other species.
How it Works
BirdXPeller takes very high fidelity recordings of birds'
distress cries (supplied by a major American university) and
inscribes them on to a microchip using the latest audio technology.
The resulting sound is so faithful to the original that they
cannot be told apart! The infesting birds perceive danger when
they hear these sounds, become agitated and disoriented, and
flee the area... not to return.
Species specific...and harmless! The BirdXPeller attacks pest birds, but it is totally benign:
it will neither kill nor harm the birds. And most important -
different models target different kinds of birds - rather than
use a scattershot approach. The standard model repels robins,
starlings, brown thrushes and finches. Other models repel gulls,
pigeons and more. Bird-X is constantly updating their
technology and further BirdXPeller models will be available for more bird species
in the future.

The standard BirdXPeller is lightweight, portable, and loaded with features.
It has a sturdy steel casing and comes complete with controls
and speaker, L-bar mounting bracket, vinyl rain cover, and 110
vAC adapter with a 6' cable. (The unit may also be operated from
a 12v car battery.) Switches give you control over volume, "spacing"
(mute time between sounds), and day/night/24 hour operation.
Optional accessories include a solar power panel for full-season
automatic operation, a motion sensor that triggers the power
only when birds approach, and an extension speaker with 25' (8
m) of cable.

Placement and Installation
The most effective mounting
sites are unobstructed places, about three feet above crops or
at the birds' roosting/perching level. The units will cover about
one half acre (0.2 hectares) set in a generally oval shape. However,
coverage will vary with terrain and overall shape of the area
being protected.
