are equipped with "Ultra High Current" (UHC) Circuitry .
This design innovation, unique to Insect-O-Cutor®, effectively over-drives
the unit's attraction lamps. This increased lamp wattage results in greater
attraction power; thus, providing the best protection available while not
reducing a lamp's life span. And as attraction is the key to protection,
the benefits of UHC Circuitry are obvious.
Additionally, UHC Circuitry involves the independent wiring of each lamp's
ballast. This design feature ensures that, should one lamp fail, the other
lamp will remain "on" to continue providing protection.
Besides UHC Circuitry, IOC® Equipment is equipped with both BL and
BLB insect attraction lamps... safety guards with microswitches... internal
insect collection drawers... and a choice of steel construction materials
(stainless, aluminized and color textured galvanized).
BELOW IS A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF IOC® MODELS:
Insect-O-Cutor® Scatterproof Models are designed for use in areas
where other insect electrocutors are prohibited and where sanitation is
of prime concern due to the proximity of either open food product or critical
preparation areas. The U
nited States Food and Drug Administration
(FDA)... after Department of Agriculture (USDA) testing.. concluded that
this IOC® Guardian® Series is "scatter-free"
and not subject to their "five foot rule"
for unit placement. This versatile model may be ceiling hung; wall mounted;
placed on work tables, shelves, countertops or other flat platforms; or
moved from area to area as a portable. The top-hinged safety guard has
a soft gasket seal and Dual-Lock® fasteners for positive closure. This
series is equipped with a collapsible carrying handle and non-scratch footpegs...
and has decorator pinstriping. This model is suitable for food processing
areas and ideal for hospitality use.
Designed for use in areas with low ceiling heights or where vertical
wall space is at a minimum. These versatile models may be ceiling hung,
wall mounted or set on any flat surface such as shelves, work stations
or countertops. Multi-directional black light emission from the front,
back and top of the unit significantly increases flying insect attraction
and elimination. Available in three lamp length sizes, the smaller of this
IOC® Series models has collapsible carrying handle and non-scratch
footpegs. Due to their versatility, these Insect-O-Cutors® are popular for export markets.
These models should be used in areas where low ceiling heights preclude
the use of hanging style units and where horizontal wall mount models are
not feasible due to the available wall space.
Use these models in areas where low-flying insects predominate. As
a rule, these units should be selected on the basis of the area to be protected.
Ideal for use in locations such as hallways, production lines and areas
exposed to the public, Insect-O-Cutor® vertical wall mount models are
both utilitarian and stylish in design for
harmony in any decor.
With decorator pinstriping detail, these models are available in all
three construction finishes and in three lamp lengths.
Designed for use in areas where wall mount models are not an option!
With multi-directional (nearly 360 degree) black
light emission, these units achieve the highest degree of flying
insect attract
ion and are appropriate for
use in warehouses and loading bays. Due to the size and shape of these
models, the units should be used in areas where ceiling heights are adequate.
While it might be desirable to place these models at lower elevations,
careful consideration should be given to allow for sufficient clearance
of forklift traffic.
The insect collection drawers in these models are safely concealed
within the units. Insect-O-Cutor® ceiling-hung models are available
in three lamp lengths.
Designed to be used out of doors, these models have shunt-protected
transformers for safety in inclement weather. The weather-resistant components
in exterior Insect-O-Cutors® are heavy-duty industrial strength to
withstand hostile elements.
These rugged outdoor units have open bottom panels that allow the dead
insects to fall through.
IOC® exterior models are equipped with protective guards for safety
and damage prevention. Insect-O-Cutor® exterior models are available
as standard hanging, bracket mount, or post mount
models such as the one shown here.
