To kill mosquitoes and other biting insects, it generates heat, moisture and carbon dioxide from propane gas and air, duplicating the human qualities that irresistibly attract them—carbon dioxide from breathing, and heat and moisture from body heat, and it emits light from three dome LEDS (figure 2). Then it adds octenol (EPA registered), a naturally occurring by-product of bovine animal breath—an irresistible attractant for mosquitoes and other biting insects (figure 3). The combination of carbon dioxide, octenol and light make the eliminator 50 to 100 times more effective than conventional bug traps. And, unlike conventional bug traps, this one targets these specific pests, leaving beneficial insects unaffected. State-of-the-art electronics operate the unit in one of four "set and forget" timer modes you select (figure 1). Computer controls, photoelectric sensor and timer operate the unit only when needed and shuts it down automatically when it is too cold for mosquitoes. Exclusive catalytic converter uses a dual platinum flameless catalyst which never needs replacing. Runs on 12-volt AC power with the included UL-approved power pack. A 50 ft.
