Technical Information - Non-Pesticidal Products

Some non-chemical products can be classified as "pesticides" due to the fact that they contain substances that control pests. However, these products fulfill the EPA requirements for Minimum Risk Pesticides Exempted under FIFRA Section 25(b) and are determined "to be of a character which is unnecessary to be subject to this Act," and have been exempted from the requirements of FIFRA by regulation. For further clarification see Minimum Risk Pesticides Exempted under FIFRA Section 25(b) - Clarification of Issues.
